Start with the people using the product and the decision they need to make.
About Kristian Hans
I am a full-stack engineer, product builder, cofounder, and STEM mentor based in Nairobi.

In my own words
Most useful work begins before the code. It begins with deciding which question matters, which assumption is dangerous, and what the idea must survive once real people use it.
I am drawn to problems without a settled playbook. A product at its first useful version, a robotics team turning parts into a competition machine, and a student testing whether a technical idea is within reach all begin with uncertainty.
The work is to make that uncertainty legible. Build enough to learn. Explain the tradeoffs clearly. Notice where reality disagrees with the plan, then adjust without losing the point of the work. That thread connects the products I build, the companies I help shape, and the teams I mentor.
Working principles
Keep the system understandable enough for another person to maintain.
Ship a useful version, learn from real use, and improve it with evidence.
Share context early so teams can make good decisions without guesswork.

How I work
I clarify the goal, constraints, owners, and definition of done before the build grows.
I communicate tradeoffs directly and keep product language separate from implementation detail.
I work across interface, backend, data, deployment, and delivery when the product needs it.
I prefer small reviewable decisions, working software, and clear follow-through.
